GLOBAL TECHNICAL TRAINING MANAGER

Commercial Buildings represent 33% of world's energy consumption & it's where people spend most of their indoor time. Buildings need a brain to intelligently manage & control many sub-systems and thousands of connected data points to help building owners create a productive and comfortable environment for its occupants, reduce energy consumption and run building operations efficiently. The Digital Buildings of Schneider Electric provides that intelligent building management system through its EcoStruxure solution to deliver comfort and efficiency for building owners and occupants.

Position Profile



Working closely with the Design Leads, Offer Managers, Project Managers and Launch Leaders, the Digital Buildings Global Training Manager's mission is to ensure the development of high quality, best in class training materials and learning paths for the offers under his/her scope, with the management and support of the global training content development team and senior trainers that report into this role.

The Global Training Leader is also responsible to define the vision and strategy of the global training team, deciding upon its structure and future setup. As well, to interact with the different global trainers and assist them in researching and developing new training courses, training objectives, outlines, instructor manuals, handouts, tests and others based on current and future portfolio of offers.

This position is located in our Andover, MA, office.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks




As a manager:

· Setup the right vision, mission and strategy for the global technical training team
· Define the most appropriate and efficient team structure and footprint to successfully execute the strategic objectives
· Ensure full management support to the global technical training team members
· Execute regular management tasks: Goals setting, performance review, career development evaluation, coaching, etc…

As a digital training leader:

· Bring a “digital training content and delivery” mindset to the global training team
· Explore best in class tools to ensure utilization of spearhead learning technologies
· Grow adoption of certification and learning paths by key stakeholders (partners and SE front offices)
· Arrange workshops with key stakeholders to identify the right content and objectives for digital technical training content; mostly R&D, Offer Management and Project Management groups
· Have a sustainable and good collaboration with other SE global training organizations to find all possible synergies in the global environment
· Involve global product support, system architect teams, prescription leaders and our commercial organization to incorporate their training material (pre-sales, technical sales, prescription training, etc…) and validate our digital training content
· Keep track of certified stakeholders and ensure they follow our guidelines in terms of certification updates as new launches / offers are launched
· Make sure relevant training content is well structured in our learning platform with a robust process to keep the content always up to date following highest quality standards. Organize the content at minimum by roles / personas / level
· Be accountable to define the required roadmap for new offers training content: Gantt chart, deliverables, timelines, etc…

Qualifications :

Your profile



·  Qualification: BS/MS Degree
·  Proven leader capable of steering complex decision-making processes within a matrix structure (influence and convince)
·  Experience in team management and proven record of strong leadership habits - transformations
·  Drive team spirit and collaboration across multiple organizations within a matrix structure
·  Experienced with virtual machine environments
·  Good knowledge of industrial and buildings automation architectures and design
·  Understand database structures, cloud architectures and IT terminology
·  Languages: Fluent in English both written and spoken. Other languages such as Spanish, French, Chinese, Portuguese, German, Italian, and others will be valuable
·  Be able to travel globally for about 25% of the time
