We're seeking a high calibre candidate to join our Telford based finance team as a Financial Accountant. Working in a vibrant, friendly office, this is a great opportunity to play a key role in the production of accurate and timley statutory accounts for a wide variety of entities. There's plenty of scope for the right individual to progress within the organisation.

You'll certainly be a qualified accountant. You may be currently working in an accountancy practice (and we think this would be a great first step into Commerce and Industry) or you may have trained in one and have already moved into the commercial world. What's absolutely essential is that you'll be excellent technically, with strong experience of statutory accounting, but have the communication skills to work with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

·Ensure accuracy of all trial balances
·Liaise with Shared Service support in India and review their work
·Ensure the accounting process for large overhead costs is working effectively
·Provide information to external auditors
·Coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts for all UK legal entities using Caseware software
·Work with Accounts Manager to ensure all accounting standards are complied with for statutory and group reporting.
·Work with tax team to share knowledge on complex reporting issues.

Desired profile

Qualifications and Skills:

·Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
·Evidence of relevant CPD
·Relevant experience in preparing statutory accounts
·Excellent communication skills with ability to influence and negotiate
·Determination to deliver an outstanding level of Customer satisfaction
·Flexible and self-motivated
·Analytical, with ability to identify problems
