We currently have a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Field Services Technician - Fire & Security .

Main Function:


To deliver Schneider Electric's specialist lifecycle Fire and Security Field Services to an allocated customer base in line with the corporate visions and values. Support, service, repair and replace Schneider Electric Fire and Security products and associated products of other manufacturers to ensure the efficient running of customers systems.

Location:

Bristol & South Wales

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver demonstrable, added value lifecycle field services to customer, incorporating:

planned preventative maintenance

on-site investigations

reactive maintenance including call-out service
Carry out small scale fire and security installation, remedial works and repairs as required
Generate detailed and accurate reports of each visit and discuss with customer, prior to
leaving site
Price and deliver field service quotations for repairs and system improvement opportunities
Resolve technical problems at site level through appropriate Company channels
Maintain site records and conform with any site regulations
Comply with company Health & Safety procedures
Comply with company Quality procedures
Maintain a smart and professional image
Liaise closely with Sales teams to maximise opportunities
Ensure telephone contact with regional office, Administrator and Bureau team
Work closely with other members of team
Ensure issued instruments and tools are in working condition
Use company computer to review and respond to email and work requests on a daily basis
Methodical approach to fault finding and record keeping
Form part of the 24-hour fire and security call out rota

Qualifications / Education Required:

Good working knowledge of BS5839 part 1 2002 plus amendments, & BS5839 part 1 – 2013
FIA 5 would be an advantage
Security based technical qualification or willingness to obtain through internal or external training
Mobile working platform license

Experience Required:

Experience in maintaining and supporting fire alarm systems in a similar
field services role
Previous experience in security controls or associated industry
Knowledge of Continuum, Pelco and IP based fire and security systems beneficial
