Field Services Marketing Director Canada

The Field Services Marketing Director designs, develops and implements business development plans and activities for Services: both professional services and Field Services. This role will liaise with country Business Units, functions, Service Sales & Global Field Service, and Global Marketing.

He/She will bring the Global Field Service offers to the market, adapt the value proposition as needed, monitors the success of the offers and the marketing plan.

He/She will increase Service customers awareness.

He/She will lead the traceability initiative for the country. He/She will drive an execution plan to transform Install base traceability data into business generation opportunities, feeding sales teams. He/She works closely with the country BUs on the customer platforming to maximize Field Service Business opportunities.

The strategic marketing plan will include a 3 year vision/execution roadmap for Service in the country. The plan will be shared and aligned with the country BUs. He/She will ensure Field Services Marcom activities and budgets are aligned with Field Service ambitions.

Main Responsibilities:

- 20% Market analysis and growth potential assessment, defining targeted segments coupled with appropriate offers and potential.

- What are the growth markets, Segment, Industry, type of service (MRO, APM, Modernization, Engineering Services, Solutions)

- Market analysis to determine need, PAM and pricing

- Business plan to determine feasibility and challenge engineering and manufacturing to meet market level pricing not cost plus

- Identify customer offer needs to bring them to the market

- Perform competitive analysis and identify strengths and weaknesses.

- 30% Deploy the offer roadmap per BU aligned with the market needs:

- Initiate Field Service offer launch plan according the COIN/COLA process

- Define in collaboration with all Businesses the Field Service Offers value proposition

- Articulate the consistency of all Field Service offers all along the life cycles stages, positioning as critical Service Plans, Modernization and Consulting offers to develop pull-thru

- Launch any new offer, monitoring success and revenue growth across Business Units

- Implement corporate communication tools in line with the Asset Management Life Cycle wheel

- Organize Voice Of Customers to provide feedback to Corporate Field Service Marketing and also improve local offer positioning

- Manage Field Service offer pricing based on historical data / margin expectations. For this, he/she will rely on competition data and value base pricing

- Based on Installed Base platforming results, challenge BU Field service LOB to localize offers requiring product adaptation (local regulation and norms)

- 30% Lead Install Base Traceability plan with execution to reach traceability knowledge targets and generate business opportunities for sales teams through sales campaigns

- Platforms the Installed base per customer type

- Decide what sales campaign to launch per month over the full year

- Make sales team execute the sales campaign and monitor performance

- 20% Develop/update 3 -5 year Growth Strategic Plan (Commercial Strategy) in collaboration with Global and Country Services teams

- Ensure plan has validated action that directly impact growth and profitability

- Must be backed with defined KPIs to measure success

- Cross BU synergies with close ties to their marketing plans

- Be proactive in developing support agreements and spare parts for current offer

- Manage Sales and Marketing team performance through sales operations efficiency and dashboards in place to alert FS VP of current achievements or deviation coordinated with finance

- Work closely with BU Sales & Marketing and Corporate teams to:

- Participate in preparation of orders and sales forecast

- Localize pricing strategy and manage price evolution.

Desired profile

Required attributes for the Field Services Business Development Director are as follows:

- Technical background (Electrical engineer, CET . . . )

- 10 years of experience in offer marketing, related to electrical distribution and industrial automation

- 5 years of experience as a team leader, mentor, with direct reports

- Background in Services activity

- Market knowledge for Segments

- Innovative

- Strategic

- Marketing background - at least 10 years

- Be firm: able to stand his/her ground, and hold firm on marketing initiatives

- Understanding of accounting and finance would be an asset
