What is the role?

Initially based in Townsville, we have an opportunity for an individual to join the Schneider team in the capacity of Field Service Technician. Key responsibilities of this role will be, oversight of the initial construction and installation, on customer sites as well as, on-site and workshop maintenance, testing and repair of LV & MV solar equipment. Specific activities will include:

· Represent Schneider Electric Solar service excellence to customers in Australia
· Provide after sales support to the Schneider Electric LV & MV Solar products (Transformers, RMU and switchgear, inverters, array boxes, SCADA)
· Ensure that all service work is delivered effectively and in compliance with all regulatory requirements
· Conduct field and workshop warranty investigations, inspections, test and rectification of LV/MV equipment
· Timely and accurate writing of technical reports on serviced equipment
· Respond to customer requests in a timely manner, accurately determining client requirements
· Develop and maintain business and client relationships while managing expectations both internally and externally

· Electrically trade qualified with extensive field service experience, specifically; MV transformers, RMU and switchgear
· You will be required to hold a current electrical or contractor license for QLD, NSW, ACT and SA
· Extensive electrical testing, faultfinding, rectification and/or servicing experience
· You will ideally have exposure to working in a culturally diverse environment – specifically south-east Asia and Central Europe
· You will be willing and able to travel frequently; both locally and interstate with a flexible approach to working hours and days
· This role will require a current driver license to be maintained at all times
