We are currently seeking a professional to join Schneider Electric as Design Engineer

Location: Selangor, Malaysia

In this role, you will

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) require to plans and executes, with minimal professional guidance, technical field assignments involving the installation, modification, test, inspection or repair of company products and equipment. The FSE may also coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting customer commitments.

· As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Deliver excellent customer service.
· Provide timely, detailed and accurate reports on service work performed, product performance, and warranty liabilities.
· Support the department business targets for orders, revenues and Utilization.
· Provide prompt and timely support to customers' needs during and outside of normal working hours, including contribution to a 24/7 on call rotation.
· Maximise the scope of the existing LV/MV Drives Service portfolio to deliver added value solutions to customers.
· Maintain the expertise of the Schneider service team through training, personal development, workshops, documentation and knowledge sharing.
· Understanding of Customer Service principles and their effect on the business.
· Demonstrate safety consciousness in equipment handling, electrical and electronic procedures, and the unique situations encountered at diverse work sites.

Desired profile

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

· High degree of technical knowledge of LV, MV, HV or Drives Products and services
· Strong background in an Industrial sector
· Demonstrate excellent customer focus
· Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
· Good networking and strong people skills
· Results orientation

Preferred

· Power Engineering and/or the willingness to learn is a highly desirable.
· Power generation and power distribution with a focus on circuit breaker and switchgear maintenance.
· Service and maintenance of electrical equipment.
· Commissioning of power systems.
· Service & maintenance and commissioning on medium voltage drives or frequency converter.
· Relay and protection experience.
· Performed technical training or service on power system, drives, switchgear..etc.
· Electrical background and experience in Medium Voltage and High Voltage.
· Offshore experience & Oil and Gas experience.
· Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in Automation, Control Products, Switchgears, Transformers, LV/MV Capacitor Bank, Protection Relays, VSD or Inverter.
· Experience in on-site troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical equipment.
· Must possess own transport and willing to travel on occasional overseas assignments.
