Job description

You will be part of design team responsible for developing & managing electronics hardware design of 1 or more from the following industrial products,

· Human-to-machine interface devices: pilot light, illuminated push button, wireless push button, tower light, beacon light & speaker etc

· Control & monitoring devices: timer relay, monitoring relay etc

of which are fully aligned to product roadmap as defined by the business

Main missions are:

1) To design & develop electronics schematic, from schematic architecture to prototyping, verified, validated and fully implemented in production, according to Schneider Electronics Development Process to meet electronics technical specification requirement derived from marketing and/or customer requirement

2) To produce various electronics design deliverables as documentation of the electronics design according to Schneider Electronics Development Process

3) To contribute to the generation of technical specification, product costing, product training & other joint deliverables lead by designated leader

4) To manage electronics design evolution of existing products of which triggered by quality improvement, customization and adaptation etc.

5) To provide product technical support to the plants, industrialization, customer complaints investigation etc

6) To provide technical status progress update to the project & management

Desired profile

Qualifications :

- Min Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or its equivalent

- At least 2 years experience in electronics hardware design & development

- Able to use fundamental electronics engineering tools,

· to capture the schematic using schematic design tools like Cadence (Concept HDL) or other schematic capture tools like Protel, Mentor Graphic etc

· to perform electronics circuit simulation using PSpice or other similar tools like LTSpice, MicroCap etc

- Possess adequate electronics engineering skills & knowledges in,

· electronics design & development processes from schematic conceptualization to mass production

· representing electronics concept design in functional block

· sizing electronics components in component selection

· applying countermeasures against electromagnetic interference compliance

· managing electronics design risk and its associated risk-reduction measures

· estimating electronics reliability

· managing electronics bill of material

- Completed at least 1 commercialized project in mixed signal circuit design or embedded system circuit design from schematic conceptualization to mass production

- Having experience in 1 or more of the following areas is an added advantage to this position:

· extensive embedded system design knowledge in: clock selection, digital IOs characterization, reset management, basic on-chip peripherals characteristics like ADC, DAC, I2C, SPI, UART, Timer, Counter, WD Timer

· communication interface (RS232, RS485, Ethernet, Wireless Technology NFC, Zigbee, BLE, LPWAN, WiFi, IOLink etc)

· display design using LCD, OLED, E-Paper etc

· complex power supply design (buck convertor, boost convertor, buck-boost convertor, flyback isolated, battery-powered solution etc)

· simple power supply design (capacitive solution, transistor solution etc)

· illumination design using LED or other technology

· operational amplifier application circuit design

· acoustic design in electronics aspect using buzzer or speaker

· basic electronics safety design (spacing rules, DFMEA etc)

· advance functional safety design (IEC61508, IEC62061, ISO13849)

· define the main PCB specifications for PCB manufacturer for fabrication & familiar with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) technology

· understand the common PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) manufacturing constraints in respect to electronics design

· able to develop test program using C# or its equivalent to automated lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply etc…) to perform repeated measurement to replace manual manipulation of the lab equipment

- Must be open-minded to work cross functional with high team spirit

- Willing to experiment within acceptable boundaries and possess creative mind to bring novel solutions into day-to-day operation
