Job description
This position is based at country level within PA APAC Region. The position is to establish and ensure the business compliance to accounting, tax, key internal controls and audit policies at the group level as well as local statutory levels. Maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards. This person also plays as an legal entity business partner role to proactively work & interact with different stake holders- BU country manager, BU delivery and Sales leader, and SE country function leaders to ensure business integrity and drive for growth.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
FISS Governance
- Ensure the deleverables from Genpact (FISS) with respect to AR, AP and GA is as per the GAAP/group policy as well as the agreed SLA between Genpact and SE on transactional deliverables
- Monitor and review closing performing by FISS(Finance Shared Service) and ensure that all financial closing and reporting activities in SAP & HFM are as per the closing schedule which would include managerial/IFRS as well as local statutory books as per the mandated cadence.
- Ensure that Genpact Team is well informed on any change Accounting , Reporting and closing related aspects according to the Group / Stat Requirements
- Ensure Periodic review of the Transactional Processes managed by Genpact and provide Feedback and areas of improvements , if any.
Tax (Direct / Indirect / Local Tax)
- Ensure correct calculation of Direct / Income Tax and the same is updated by Genpact during the OPUS closing process.
- Filing the Corporate Income Tax related documents and payments on a timely basis
- Handle all the other local tax related filing process for the entity, including VAT, WHT and any other indirect taxes
- Assist in completing the Tax related compliances documents (eg Intercompany Service Agreement , TP Reporting if any)
- Support the requirement of Transfer Pricing from documentation and TP Reporting point of view , which may also include TP Audit.
- Provide professional advice for any local related tax matters/enquires
Statutory External / Internal Audit & Group Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance to the company reporting standard and policies. A subject matter expert in accounting standards, both at management reporting and statutory levels.
- Act as a single point of contact with the Stat Auditors and ensure timely completion of Stat Audit with all the submissions / notes provided to the auditor as per the GAAP rules , this would also include close co-orination with the Genpact (FISS) team in fulfilling the requirement of Stat Audit.
- Support and ensures all the requirements with respect to Internal Audit and Key Internal Controls (KIC) are fulfilled, the KIC cycle (E-Front) is commpleted with all the satficatory supporting documents and approvals from various stake holders.
- Proactive involvement with the development of financial policies, DoA, SRM and monitoring compliance to enhance internal controls, create efficiencies, and safeguard company assets.
- Review order booking/entry process upon the BU guideline from the financial point of view
Controlling (AR / AP / GL)
- Review the AP Payment Forecast from Genpact and ensure timely payment of payables as per the Forecast and payment terms
- Ensure Genpact is receiving the invoices via Basware on a timely basis and resolve issues where in the Vendor is not following Basware route of invoice submissions.
- Responsible for the Revenue Assurance, review and monitor Monthly AR Collection Forecast / Collection, work with related stakeholders (PM/Sales/country treasury) to resolve any dispute
- Responsible for managing day to day acccounting aspects related to AP, AR and GA.
- Drives and ensure balance sheet review & account reconciliation cadences and financial risk management frameworks are performed as per the agreed timeline / schedules.
- Responsible for providing the most up to date regular as well as ad-hoc accurals and provision details (both project related provision & SFC related accruals) to genpact team
Treasury
- Manage and ensure the Bank mandate/Signatories are updated on real time basis.
- Working in close co-ordination with the FBP and Financial Controllers and Assit in executing hedging requirement based on PA project exposure
- Monitor the company's cash flow (in and out) and validate the cash transfer before going for managers' approval
- Support all the project bonds application/preparation, familiar with group bond policy, and monitor the bonds expiry, status to protect company interest
FP&A
- Support in providing detailed SAP based GL related information and details.
- Support the country level bottoms up SFC analysis and full year Forecast by Function
- Prepare and review weekly/daily revenue & margin report to track the business performance and ensure the rolling forecast is properly delivered
- Any Ad-Hoc Reporting as requested
- Cost Center based information and details , as and when required.
- Prepare monthly financial analysis, variances and forecasting activities for Orders, Sales, P&L and cash flow for the country and review with the FBP for the final submission
- Prepare the bottoms up report of quarterly rolling forecast & ops pack, review with the FBP for the final submission and consolidation
-Oversee the overall project execution progress & performance, attend monthly delivery ops meeting and present related financial risks/issues

Desired profile
Qualifications :
Accounting Degree, CPA/CA (or equivalent), qualified to be registered as the company accountant
MBA will be an advantage.
Inquisitive and key to resolve data inconsistencies.
Must be solid on ERP and Financial systems with expert level in SAP, HFM, BW.
Fluent in English both written and oral, with proven communication & interpersonal skill
Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office products especially on Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
Strong process mindset and orientation
Strong and effective communicator, team player.
Attention to details, observant of abnormal signs to be a compliance gate keeper
Problem solving skills, able to identify the root cause of the issue & drive for resolution with ownership
Experience:
Requires a minimum of 6 to 8 years of accounting/finance experience.
Big 4 accounting firm experience is a must (preferably 3 years), experience of working in a large MNC Finance/internal audit/internal control function is big advantage
Demonstrated and proven leadership and managerial maturity.
Experiences in project accounting and solutions type businesses.
Possess strong business acumen.
