Cooling Lab Engineer

Summary of Job Roles:

Candidate will be responsible to conduct capacity, performance and reliability test of cooling products in line with test conditions specified by internal and external customers. The candidate should be capable of understanding the test conditions and interpret same to perform the required test to generate relevant test report. The other major responsibility includes day to day operation of lab and supervision / control of supporting equipments like chiller, ahu, pumps, heater, humidifier and dehumidifiers to maintain conditions inside test chambers.

Essential Responsibilities:

Knowledge of ASHRAE, ARI and AHRI standards and Lab view software for test lab.

Setting up of different cooling products to perform capacity and performance test

Maintain measuring instruments and ensure periodic calibration.

To maintain inventory of all consumables items required at lab.

Improve productivity at lab by minimizing test duration and deliver quality reports in scheduled timelines.

Maintain 5S and follow EHS rule in work area.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a 3 years Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical or Refrigeration and Air-conditioning stream with at least 2-3 years of experience in running a cooling lab.

It is desirable that candidate had work experience from lab like Danfoss, ETA/UL, Intertek etc.

Knowledge and Skill – Required:

- Interpretation of ASHRAE and ARI Standards

- Understanding of function of key components and safety device of air-conditioning products like ductable split, Precision AC & Package units.

- Knowledge of measuring instruments used in HVAC industries and labs

- Good knowledge of Psychrometric chart – DBT, WBT and dew point

- Technical documentation and report writing

Travel:

Domestic as and when needed.
