What do you get to do in this position?

Excellent opportunity for a motivated Mechanical or Electrical engineer with a good knowledge of product safety and hazardous locations compliance. As a key member of product development teams, this individual ensures that appropriate regulatory and safety requirements are incorporated into product designs and specifications. Prepares and manages product submissions to global regulatory authorities for approval. Prepares and manages product construction reports and technical files.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

This job might be for you if:

·  Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
·  Experience in Intrinsic Safety and/or Explosion Proof Design is a plus
·  Working knowledge in product certification IEC 61010 or IEC/EN 60079 series standards is highly desirable.
·  Working knowledge of CSA and FM standards is highly desirable.
·  Assessment of equipment for certification against published standards.
·  Provide advice to design engineers as appropriate.
·  Prepares and manages product construction reports and technical files.
·  Proficiency with standard workplace software (MS Office, Agile, etc)
·  Working knowledge in Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
