An excellent opportunity currently exists for an experienced and motivated Service Technician to join our Buildings Business unit located in our State Head office in Hobart. In this position you will be tasked with providing breakdown and maintenance services to a variety of key clients in Hobart area and throughout Tasmania.

As a strongly customer facing position, it is essential that you possess highly developed communication skills and feel at ease in such a role. As our BMS Service Technician you will be an integral member of the Service team and provide a high quality of service and support to our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform repairs and preventative works mainly on DDC Building Automation Systems

· Provide HVAC and Building Automation Controls Engineering , Programming , Commissioning and service.

· Diagnose and repair electronic control system malfunction's requiring knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and write modifications

· Provide required support in estimating service work and coordination of projects.

· Comply with corporate policy on safety, work ethics and time constraints.

· Assist and participate in the on-call program

· Proven record of high quality work & strong experience including trouble shooting, fault finding and problem diagnosis.

· The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a restricted electrical license.

· Ideally you will have an Electro-technology or electrical trade background. Experience with systems that involve advanced solutions such as BACnet, Lonworks, Cbus, Modbus and other open technologies for building automation/integration solutions, would be an advantage.

You will also need you to have:

· Excellent communication skills with a positive, pro-active attitude

· The ability to deliver the highest level of quality service to ensure customer satisfaction to Schneider Electric clients and customers

· Motivation to seek new and improved ways of service delivery & customer service (efficiency/productivity)

· Self-motivated and the ability to work independently without supervision

If you have relevant experience in a similar role and on large projects including documentation requirements when dealing with large entities. You will have demonstrated good customer service skills, excellent communication skills enabling you to converse with all levels of management in verbal and written form we want to hear from you.
