We have an exciting opportunity for a Leave of Absence Benefit Analyst. This position supports the delivery of U.S. benefit programs specializing in leave of absence, long term and short term disability. It also offers diversity in it's roles and responsibilities through support other areas outside specialized benefits.
Primary Responsibilities
· Administering U.S. health and welfare benefits programs with specialization in leave of absence and disability programs.
· Interpret policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with local laws.
· Participate in benefits harmonization efforts resulting from business mergers, acquisitions and integrations.
· Create and contribute to communication messages to employees,
regarding the leave of absence process
-Create and contribute to communication messages to manager and HR Business Partners relating to important notices regarding an employees leave of absence, benefit exhaustion, and transition from short term to long term disability.
· Resolve escalated employee situations from our service center while exhibiting care/concern with quick resolution that is accurate
· Knowledge related to U.S. Family Medical Leave Act preferred
-Create strong partnerships with benefit carriers for deep understanding of end to end processes and how change would impact benefit offers.
-Administer leaves in HRIS system on a daily basis
-Create, validate, and submit short term disability payment to payroll on time with high degree of accuracy
-Candidates must exhibit the ability to take ownership of issues, drive change for continuous improvement, and possess the desire to learn and do more on tasks outside of their day to day scope of responsibility.
Successful candidates will have the ability to prioritize daily work without direct supervision.
Qualifications
1-College Degree
2-Experience supporting U.S. benefits with emphasis in leave of absence and disability administration
3-Fluent in English (verbal and written)
4-Attention to detail, well organized, and strong customer service skills
5-Strong Excel skills preferred
