Job description

Location: Singapore

Primary position objective and purpose:

To help Aveva maintain its reputation as a premier provider of quality assured and reliable real-time software products. To coordinate and complete product installation project assignments on time and on budget, and in a way that exceeds customer expectations. Build customer relationships and trust that help manage customer expectations and promote future Business Development opportunities.

Your key areas of responsibility will include:

· Coordinating all work with the Project Manager, and guided by a formal Project Plan and following AVEVA's ISO 9001 compliant standard operating procedures, team with other AVEVA and/or customer personnel to implement complex real-time, multi-tiered solutions to meet requirements specified by customer. Implementation plan must support completing the scope of work on time and on budget.
· Prepare the solution design and implementation plan and coordinate with the Project Manager to explain the design and plan to the customer. Communicate with new customers about products and services. Communicate any meaningful deviations from the project plan to the Project Manager and/or management for resolution.
· As early as possible, identify barriers to achieving project plan goals and work with the Project Manager to secure the resources needed to resolve problems. Elevate potentially critical issues to appropriate AVEVA management personnel.
· Provide ad hoc training and orientation to the capabilities and operation of installed products, and seek up-sale opportunities for additional product or custom applications.
· Complete post-installation report and highlight non-standard issues or activities that may signal the need for process improvement or follow-up by Business Development contacts.
· Maintain pro-active, post-installation contact with customer to ensure the level of customer expertise and satisfaction needed prior to “project close” and customer transition to Technical Support team
· Provide troubleshooting direction on complex production issues that require immediate resolution.
· Function as a technical expert and work effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure that industry expertise is leveraged.
· Help drive standard solution designs, application feature sets, and product roadmaps.
· Travel up to 25%, including international.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Education required:
Bachelor degree (or equivalent experience in a respective Computer Science or Engineering field)


Required skills/experience:
· Three to five years of experience working with and supporting enterprise systems.
· Advanced critical thinking skills.
· Strong desire and ability to continuously learn new products and technologies.
· Self-motivation and ability to work as part of a team and at times with minimal supervision.
· Proficiency in English language

Soft Skills Required:
· Excellent communication and customer facing skills
· Excellent written and verbal skills (English fluency as a first or second language)
· Presentation skills
· Multi-tasking, ability to work on multiple projects in same calendar period
· Collaboration mindset and ability to work in a virtual team environment towards a common goal

Technical Skills Required:
· Current or recent versions Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
· Microsoft SQL Server database development tools and languages (SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL) and administration
· Report Building/Presentation tools, eg Microsoft Power BI, SSRS, etc
· Technical writing skills
· A sound understanding of multitier solution architectures
· Advanced skill with remote support and installation (telephone, VPN, WebEx, etc.)
· At least some knowledge of 3 rd party “bolt-on” or complementary solutions
· At least some knowledge of connectors and middleware between HMI/SCADA & Historian systems and common enterprise software such as SAP or similar

Other Technical Skills Deemed Beneficial to Have / Not Required:
· Experience with enterprise historian installation/configuration and/or as a user
· Familiar with web site deployment using Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
· Experience with predictive maintenance/machine learning solutions
· Programming experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, including VB.Net, C# and Python.

Work Experience and Education:
· Prior level technical background in jobs such as support engineer, integrator, plant engineer, software developer, technical sales consultant, or equivalent
· Proficiency in the installation of complex software products in engineering-oriented environments.
· Strong credentials in the work required to prepare for the installation of products (data conversion, product configuration, screen builds, etc.).
