Job description

We are looking for a bright and motivated sales individual to assist in growth of our start up business. The role will be broad, but focused around engaging new customers/members and making them into repeat members.
This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of sales.. This role will help you to both improve your existing skills, and gain a wide variety of new ones.
You will receive full training and be given your own responsibilities. This is a role that you can make your own if you are a driven and pro-active individual with a desire to grow and learn.

Scarlet Ladies is a female power hub for professional women in London. We make positive changes in our own lives and the lives of other women. We support and speak up for ourselves and each other, encourage others with positive messages, break society’s shackles and smash glass ceilings. Our sisterhood is a force to be reckoned with.
Our events fall into 4 categories:
Socials - our members explore the city whilst building new relationships and friendships with like minded women
Wellness - encompassing health and fitness and well as fashion and beauty
Career - networking events and leadership talks for women who want to take their career to the next level
Sex & Relationships - events to explore without judgement

All of our partners are female run businesses so our members are safe in the knowledge that every pound spent with them goes to support women.

About you
You will be a motivated self-starter who fits in well with our small team. You must have an interest in female issues, eager to learn and contribute and preferably have a great sense of humour! You have to be an open minded individual with a passion for the sisterhood.

Key responsibilities

Generating leads
Calling potential clients.
Building a lasting relationship with members and partners
Conducting Market research
Assist with fulfilment of marketing offers.
Perform market segmentation and prioritise likely new sales customers
Analyse competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline
Trained in how to engage customers on the phone
Gain understanding of a complete sales cycle
Observe then begin to close new customers
Customer database

You will be working from home and at our Headquarters.

Desired profile

Must haves
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Great attention to detail, including grammar and punctuation
Professional telephone manner
Confidently able to present ideas to the team
Solid understanding of social media platforms and tools
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Good sense of humour
Flexible attitude to workload
Ability to multi-task and manage own workload
Pro-active thinking to improve existing processes
London based with a willingness to travel to events across central London
Be fully aligned with our brand values

Desirable but not essential
Previous experience in a similar environment would be useful
