Development Analyst

A successful and quickly expanding property development and investment company requires an intern in the short run with a long term view of becoming full-time subject to performance. The successful candidate will be based at our offices in St James’s and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced, yet friendly environment.

As entrepreneurial developers we look at a vast range of opportunities and our key expertise is in both the Built-to-Rent and Co-living sectors. We also have ongoing projects in the luxury and mainstream open market sale sectors.

What we are looking for is someone who does not need to be from a cognate real estate background, but is passionate about property development and has the capacity to learn quickly.
As a mainstay of your role you will be looking for development opportunities and as such will not be restricted to the office. You shall also have freedom to explore new potential business avenues and are encouraged to establish contacts, set up meetings etc. to aid you in this process.

The ideal candidate will either already possess, or have the capacity to grasp all of at least the following after three months:

Financial modelling – you will be building development appraisals and scrutinising every input and output so an understanding of finance is important.

Planning – an understanding of how the planning system works, as well as how it can be utilised to our favour will be supplemented with our own experience and active projects.

Due-diligence – We undertake extensive due-diligence to facilitate our deals so a curious mindset, and a Sherlock Holmes-like ability of deduction will go a very long way.

Law – Interpretation of legal documents including contracts and legislation is very important in what we do and helps us to unlock value.

Good communication skills – We speak to a lot of people from many different walks of life so being personable, open-minded and communicating well is very important to us.

Accountability – We want people to join our team and take ownership of what they do, so if you are someone who thrives on responsibility we want you.
