This part-time position performs manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of buildings, including dust mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, and operating basic mechanical cleaning equipment. Performs various other duties that require moderate physical strength and may be performed on an occasional basis; such duties include stripping and resurfacing floors, vacuuming furniture and drapes, washing windows, shampooing carpet, and cleaning light fixtures. Follows established safety requirements in using cleaning materials and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, starting at 12:30 am.

 

 

Requirements:

Essential

·  Three months of housekeeping experience, preferably in a commercial environment

 

Additional

·  Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength
·  Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions
·  Ability to walk, bend and stand for several hours
·  Ability to bend at the waist, and twist/rotate the waist on a frequent basis
·  Ability to work with arms extended above head or arms extended outward on a frequent basis
·  Ability to push and pull with arms on a frequent basis
·  Ability to climb stairs and ladders
·  Ability to crouch, kneel, or perform cleaning tasks at floor level
·  Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp and manipulate a variety of equipment and supplies needed to perform cleaning tasks
·  Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
·  Ability to operate and move cleaning equipment
