For our client, one of the largest foreign banks in the Netherlands, we are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially driven Corporate Coverage Associate to join the Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC) team. The bank has a strong global presence and provides corporate services for large corporate clients and financial institutions. The Amsterdam office has created a new opportunity to add a Corporate Coverage Associate to the FIC team.

In this role you will provide coverage related support to the team of Corporate Bankers. The role is as the internal sparring partner for other departments as well as the interface for the client network. You will research and analyze the investment considerations of clients and, in cooperation with the relationship manager, develop relevant pitch books. Furthermore, you will collaborates with internal business partners to produce company and sector analysis that will benefit clients throughout the sales cycle.

This is an exciting role for someone who has two years’ plus experience in the financial industry, with highly developed research and presentation skills and who is looking to gain deep experience in investment banking.

• Supporting the FIC team in the origination for business products in client proposals and follow-up


• Collecting and analyzing valuable and detailed marketing material for the purpose of a pitch book


• Performing credit analysis and producing credit proposals

  Assisting in the making of relationship overviews, transaction descriptions and market strategies

  Keeping record of commercial and client activities
  


• 
  Using industry and client networks to enhance knowledge of the market and industry conditions

                                A master degree in Business or Economics
  


• 
                                Two to four years of work experience in the financial industry, preferably in financial institutions 
  


• 
                                Strong interests in investment banking
  


• 
                                Able to work independently but also in partnership with internal stakeholders
  


• 
                                Excellent communication skills and ability to converse on different business levels
  


• 
                                Fluent in Dutch and English, verbally and in writing. Fluency in French is an advantage
