PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Availability of our products in local languages is a key success factor for selling SAP software globally. With more than 200 employees in Europe, Asia and North America, SAP Language Services (SLS) provides translation and translation-related services for all SAP solutions and non-coded assets into 40 languages.
The SLS corporate content translators translate communication materials, financial reports, HR documents, legal agreements, sales collateral, and Executive Board communications according to defined customer requirements and within the agreed timeframe and budget.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
· Translate and edit company documents, publications, and internal communications
· Work with the team and its customers to develop and maintain standards of translation excellence
· Liaise with the company departments requesting translation services to align deadlines, project details, and overall planning
· Define and maintain terminology in our terminology database
· Assist in improving processes and working practices within the team
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
University degree in translation or a related field, ideally with a focus on financial and legal translations
Required skills
· English native speaker, professional in German
· Good general knowledge and a strong interest in business and IT
· Strong MS Office skills
· Ideally, experience in using SDL Trados Studio or similar translation tools
· Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines
Preferred skills
· Ability to deal with a wide variety of stakeholders and to cope with challenging requirements
· Ability to work in an international team and excellent interpersonal skills
· Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to learn quickly and to take over responsibility
· Very structured working mode with high attention to detail
WORK EXPERIENCE
Initial experience in the translation industry and a good understanding of translation processes
The position can be also filled as part time position
