PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

We are looking for a highly motivated Quality Program Accountable (QPA) with strong quality as well as customer focus in order to strengthen our Program Team in the User Interface Core Service (UICS) product unit. The UICS product unit is responsible for the development of the strategic UI technologies used by SAP’s application development, partners and customers to create state of the art user interfaces for large scale business applications. This includes the “UI Development Toolkit for HTML5” (SAPUI5 or short UI5 – a highly scalable, cross-browser JavaScript Framework), SAP Fiori Launchpad and the open source contribution OpenUI5.

In the UICS Program Team, we ensure that our deliveries are shipped to our customers according the defined SAP processes and channels. To achieve this goal, you will be part of the product team and you will closely work as functional leader with the Quality Engineers within our UICS unit as well as the related sub-supplier teams.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Are you an enthusiastic Quality Engineer with strong customer focus? Can you put yourself into an application developer or framework developer perspective to identify their needs and improve their productivity? As a QPA in our team you will work on program level with special focus to quality assurance and test related tasks within the product creation process. Defining the test strategy for the program, respecting defined process- and product standards. Coaching areas or teams in terms of quality assurance and test related processes, methods and tools. Analyzing and evaluating test progress and results for the program and taking appropriate follow-up actions. Initiating process or tool improvements. Creating final test evaluation report of the program to support release decisions. Acting as quality- and test contact for program stakeholders.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required Skills:

·  You have advanced product domain knowledge within the program incl. relevant business processes & scenarios and a proficient understanding of customer needs.
·  You have expert knowledge about relevant product and process standards, important legal requirements and quality assurance and test related tools.
·  Fluent in English and German

Preferred Skills:

·  You have proficient knowledge and technical competencies of relevant programming languages and related development tools and processes.
·  You show technical, business and/or methodological leadership
