PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The QA Analyst will be primarily responsible for validating the software produced by the development team, defining and developing automated tests and exploratory testing. This person will collaborate closely with other members of the QA team, product owner and the development team to understand the requirements and to make appropriate use of different tools and techniques including manual and automated testing.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

· Collaborating with customers and other team members to define requirements
· Defining and creating automated test cases based on requirements
· Defining and executing exploratory tests and acceptance tests
· Analyzing and reporting identified problems
· Taking part in defining and creating test automation and best practices
· Working with automation and performance testing tools at various levels of applications
· Collaborating with developers and other members of the QA team

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

· Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering or related degree.

· Degree in Quality System Engineering is an asset

· Good verbal and written English

· ISTQB Foundation certified

· Experience with user interface testing tools, e.g. Selenium

· Experience with performance testing tools, e.g. JMeter

· Experience with eCommerce projects

· Experience with Java development projects

· Practical experience in a modern programming or scripting language

· Familiarity with continuous integration tools

WORK EXPERIENCE:

· 3+ years of QA experience on web development projects

· 2+ years of experience in using agile methods on projects, ideally Scrum/XP

· 2+ years of experience with test automation frameworks/tools

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

· This position is located at: 999 de Maisonneuve boulevard West #300, Montreal, QC H3A 3L4

· This is a full-time, permanent position

· Travel required: 0-10%

· Salary is CAD $55,000 - $70,000/year plus discretionary bonus
