PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Suite Engineering is working on the next generation of our suite applications without disruption for our customers by delivering S/4HANA with Fiori Apps based on customer co-innovation, leveraging the capabilities of SAP HANA.

To further develop our solutions, we offer a Developer Associate (f/m) position within a highly motivated team focusing on execution for the simplified Variant Configuration in S/4HANA. Variant Configuration is used by many customers in different industries to handle the variability of their products. Consumer products are becoming more and more individualized and Variant Configuration of products is critical for many customers. The overall goal of this project is to develop a user-friendly and state-of-the-art variant configurator in S/4HANA. This will allow customers to handle the complexity of their products throughout their complete lifecycle (Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales, After-Sales, etc.).

Developments within the Variant Configuration project will take place in four dedicated teams within the next three years in our development locations Walldorf, Germany, and Budapest, Hungary. It will comprise development of Fiori-based user interfaces (HTML5/JavaScript), S/4HANA application logic (ABAP), and HANA AFL extensions for state-of-the art constraint solving (C++).

As Junior Developer in our development team in the area Business Suite - Product Configuration/Variant Configuration on S/4HANA you will work along the complete lifecycle of software development projects contributing towards customer success.
You will demonstrate a strong focus on development execution and quality assurance. Based on your knowledge you will interact with customers, understand customer requirements, design, implement and test software solutions by applying the dimensions desirability, viability and feasibility.
As a team player you will take over responsibility for dedicated development tasks. You will contribute to the team spirit by supporting an environment of continuous learning, by exchanging ideas & thoughts and by embracing a culture of innovation.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills (must have)

·  Strong University Degree or equivalent business experience in information technology, mathematics, engineering or related area
·  Very good analytical thinking and problem solving
·  Experience with HTML5/Javascript, ABAP, or C++
·  Team player with strong communication skills 
·  Open minded, problem-solving attitude and positive spirit even under challenging conditions
·  Ability to work in new, dynamic environments
·  High quality orientation
·  Fluent or near-native German and English language skills

Preferred skills (good to have)
·  Expertise in Variant Configuration, Product Lifecycle Management, Sales Configuration or Sales & Distribution is an advantage, but not a must
·  Test automation experience can be an advantage
·  Profound knowledge in SQL is an advantage

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

Entry Level. Experience in software development projects would be an advantage (internships, student jobs…)
