Purpose & Objective of Position

To support the PaaS team in the design, develop and document business microservices to support the day-to-day utility business operations.

Expectations & Tasks

· Write “clean”, well-design code
· Troubleshoot, test and maintain the microservices to ensure strong optimization and functionality
· Follow industry best practices
· Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

Skills / Competencies

· Proven microservices development experience (preferably in GO Lang or equivalent)
· Demonstrate knowledge in the development and architecture of microservices
· Demonstrate strong testing and fault finding experience
· Understanding how to manage a database
· Experience in using a continuous integration system
· Relevant experience in building automated tests
· Experience in common third-partys APIs
· Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas

Educational Requirements

· BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
