SAP Information Steward (IS) enables discovery and management of data as trusted data asset and supports role based information management, effective data governance, and instant access to trustworthiness of data. IS development team is seeking for passionate developer who can be part of a high-performing and fast-growing team essential to the quality and timely delivery of our product.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a development engineer in the SAP HANA EIM team you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues. You will need to:

·         Feel responsible for the research and development of the market leading data governance application, SAP Information Steward, in strong cooperation with our customers and across locations and time zones

·         Identify relevant technology trends and drive education in related domains

·         Be able to multiply your skills by actively mentoring other resources within the team

·         Continually enhance your existing skills and seek new areas for personal development

·         Be a strong, committed, reliable team player with a strong service ethic; as well as being a proactive networker, a self-starter and self-motivated

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree. Master is preferred

·         Solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structure and algorithms

·         Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills

·         Good knowledge in at least one major database (HANA, Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server or Sybase)

·         Hands-on experience in multi-threading and multi-processing application development

·         Experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, C or C++. Java is preferred

·         Good knowledge and experience with J2EE

·         Experience building large scale enterprise and distributed applications

·         Experience in one of major databases

·         Experience working on enterprise application integration (XML, web services, SOA, SSO)

·         Hands-on experience with web application development using JSP and/or JavaScript

·         Strong problem-solving skill and team-oriented work ethic

·         Proven track record of delivering quality, mission critical enterprise applications

·         Good verbal and written communication skills and working well with remote team are essential

·         Any knowledge about SAP ERP or Business Objects Enterprise platform is a plus

 

Miscellaneous/ Please Note: 

·         This is an early talent/ entry level position

·         Must be able to work onsite either in Dublin, CA

·         The ideal candidates would be able to start by June 2017
