(Quality Assurance, SCM Administrator):

We are currently seeking a SCM Administrator who will drive implementation of Git for source code management, including source code branching, merging, build strategies and deployment strategies along with maintaining the tools and environments to help the teams deliver major software releases.This is an on-site position and will be located in our Naperville office.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

·  Administration, maintenance, and upgrade of source code management tools
·  Education and evangelism of source code management tools
·  Define, implement, and manage the build, integration, system deployments and release process
·  Develop required scripts or code to automate and integrate configuration management tools and processes
·  Assist in day to day change management activities, including creating new branches, code merging, versioning and general code maintenance along with configuration changes
·  Communicate configuration management process information and changes as appropriate to different teams.
·  Provide troubleshooting expertise and drive resolution for all issues in all environments on an as-needed basis

 

We’re Looking For:

 

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related course of study.
·  Experience administering Git, ideally hosted and with SSH
·  Experience assisting developers with issues related to SCM tool use (e.g. check in/out, branching, and tagging)
·  Experience implementing and documenting SCM policies and procedures
·  Strong scripting skills to automate all aspects from back office processes to user experience.  Microsoft PowerShell, Perl, and Bash are preferred.
·  Working knowledge of Java programming
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows system admin
·  SQL Admin experience a plus
·  Must be a detail-oriented self-starter and problem solver with strong communication skills and an attitude of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is comfortable with a degree ambiguity and reacts by choosing priorities effectively to best improve processes, performance, repeatability, and scalability.
