Sap Demo Cloud translation Associate

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SDC translation operator would reinforce the Presales Translation & Localization Services, in the Global Presales organization belonging to the GCO Board Area. The overall purpose of the role is to ensure operations end to end for demo system translation. Please see the included categorized list of typical responsibilities and tasks for the SDC translation associate

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

· Skills in:
· SAP Basis.
· SE63/SE16.
· SE63 import/export
· SFSF translations
· Object list creation -OTM
· SDC TR MGR
· SQL & SQL server. (1y experience)
· Windows server 2003.
· VB.net experience is a plus.

· Fluency in English, both written & spoken.
· Great communication skills.
· Ability and willingness to work in a global team.

The selected candidate will be trained on the process, OTM & SDC TR.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

General

· Shows lot of professionalism in following rigorously a process.
· Show sense of initiative to improve processes and continuously search for solution to bring perfectly translated systems to presales.
· Exhibit a proactive approach in reporting issues.

Extract SAP data & reimport translated extracts (10%)

· Create translation worklists from 60 different systems, in at least 8 languages on a predefined schedule and based on instructions of an expert.
· Extract the data outside SAP system using SE63 externalization tool.
· Re-import the data back with the same tool.

Prepare the data using SDC TR tool (20%)

· Import/export translations, propagate translations, create export runs,…
· Manage post edit operations.

Note: SDC TR Mgr is our own tool developed with VB.net.

Technical translation projects (30%)

· Work with various parties on a variety of projects to ensure availability, and increase quality of translation on demo systems.

Other – process improvement (30%)

Work with solution experts & developers to bring reliable innovations to the process in order to improve quality, automation and speed of execution
