Job Summary

Cloud Foundry Cloud Controller is the API frontend towards all the components of Cloud Foundry. It takes client requests and orchestrates the collaboration between the other Cloud Foundry services to get the job done. Now it’s time to continue the journey and develop the next generation – version 3 of the Cloud Controller. As a Product Manager/Owner you’d be responsible for the typical tasks for this position – driving requirements definition, preparing backlog for the team, agreeing on milestones, providing transparency of execution, participating in the Cloud Foundry Runtime PMC meetings , evaluating the market. In short you’d have to live and breathe for Cloud Foundry and the Cloud Controller, harness your energy and unleash your creativity to help making Cloud Foundry the best PaaS out there.

 

 

The Team

We at SAP are setting a new team to develop the next generation of Cloud Foundry Cloud Controller. The team is in Sofia and works very closely with Pivotal’s CAPI team which has developed the current Cloud Controller. Both Pivotal and SAP are absolute supporters of pair programming, test driven development and upmost quality thus it’s not a coincidence that these are the rules in all Cloud Foundry Foundation teams. Of-course the code is entirely open-source as with every other Cloud Foundry service.

 

What are we looking for?

·  Ability to write user stories and formalize requirements
·  Strong communication skills
·  3+ years of relevant work experience
·  English fluency is a must, and ideally you speak fluent Bulgarian too
·  Strong quality orientation
·  Open minded
·  Fast learner
·  Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems
·  Moderate traveling, mostly to US
·  One plus would be Previous experience as a Product Manager and/or Product Owner and/or Project Management
·  A definite advantage would be experience as Software Architect and/or understanding of current cloud trends
·  Yet another thing that might help is being part of an open source community, thus knowing the tools and general open source culture
