Description:
The Adoption Services Consultant will perform the tasks and duties associated with training on the Ariba products, as well as coaching customers in best practices to improve their adoption and satisfaction with the Ariba solutions.
When delivering training on the Ariba Products, the individual will be responsible for delivering quality product and best practice training classes at Customer sites throughout North America, and virtually. Training is generally targeted to both project team members prior to go live and end users at post go live.
The Adoption Services Consultant will also assist the team with Release Readiness activities by learning about new product features, developing training material for those features, and enabling those features in training realms for instructor use.
The Adoptions Services Consultant will also support department goals by assisting with operations, editing and building new training materials as needed, creating custom training materials and/or tailored training sessions, and working on other special projects and initiatives.
This position is part of the SAP Education Services group.
This position is Home Office or Pittsburgh based.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Knowledge of Ariba products, services and solutions, both On-Demand and On-Premise versions a plus.
· Experience with other Sourcing, Contracts or Procurement software solutions a plus
· Experience delivering standard product and user training for customers
· Ability to Facilitate functional and technical training classes (standard and custom)
· Understanding of training technologies – Training images, LMS systems
· Ability to create and update training curriculum
· Ability to host remote / distance classes via Adobe Connect or similar tools
· Ability to capture and organize information and conduct Training Needs Analysis
· Strong time management and the ability to work independently
· Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously to meet deadlines
· Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize multiple tasks and problem solving skills are required
· Ability to work with customers to drive a strategic plan and help answer questions about their Ariba usage in order to help them to optimize their usage of the Ariba solutions.
· Ability to investigate new product features and build relevant training materials including slides, demonstration scripts, and lab activities.
· Ability to work with internal teams including Customer Engagement Executives, Technical Support, and Product Management to keep up to date on the Ariba products, as well as handle specific customer issues that arise.
· Ability to identify new best practices and find ways to incorporate knowledge into new and existing materials
· This position involves approximately 50% training delivery, 25% custom training and readiness activities, and 25% curriculum development/special projects and initiatives.
· Up to 75% travel to customer sites is possible depending on location.

Ariba Solution Expertise
· Ability to build solution, customer, and industry knowledge of Business Commerce and Spend Management by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at Ariba and externally at the client).
· Establishes credibility as a solutions expert with customers (e.g., positive customer feedback).
· Ability to learn new Ariba Solutions in order to present them credibly and confidently to clients and Ariba consultants.
· Conversant with the features, functionality, and applicability of the Ariba Business Commerce suite
· Able to identify key issues that will drive adoption of Business Commerce functionality.
· Possess expert knowledge in at least two areas of the Spend Management suite.
· Builds solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at Ariba and externally at the client).
Team Work
· Executes with minimal guidance and shows strong initiative
· Works with various internal and external team (e.g., other consultants, product management, engineering, deployment, technical support) and brings them in as necessary.
· Maintains regular communication with other team members
· Displays proactive communication (i.e., face-to-face meetings and phone calls are more frequent than emails).
· Manages internal and external resources to optimize client impact.
· Proactively collaborates with manager and teammates to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact a customer.
Qualifications:
· Two to Five years of training and / or consulting experience
· Bachelor Degree required.
· Consulting experience with major Big 4 firm or specialty boutique firm a plus
· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
· Demonstrated ability to successfully interact and communicate with clients.
· Ability to travel 75%+.
· Additional language(s) preferred
· 2+ years of Project Management experience
· 2+ years of Spend Management experience
· Experience with Spend Management solutions/processes (Ariba products a plus)
· Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
