We are looking for a student intern for our SLS Corporate Content translation team who will be supporting us in the Integrated Report translation project from English into German.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

While working in the Integrated Report project team, you will
- Support experienced colleagues in editing and/or translating the Integrated Report 2015
- Support the coordination of external translators who contribute to this project
- Communicate with internal customers regarding timelines, project expectations, deliverables etc.
- Perform administrative tasks
- Perform quality assurance processes
- Work with a text management system to keep translations current You will also get insight into the daily work of a translator in the Corporate Content team and
- Translate SAP business-related documents for internal purposes
- Process translation requests via our internal workflow tool
- Research, define and maintain terminology
- Maintain translation memories

WORK EXPERIENCE

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Desired profile

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:
- Student at a university or university of applied sciences
- Native speaker of German, professional in English
- Student of translation studies of German/English
- Excellent editing and/or translation skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and to take over responsibility
- Ability to work in an international team and excellent interpersonal skills
- Very structured working mode with high attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of SDL Trados Studio is an assetStart as soon as possible, preferred duration 6 months
