As a Product Owner you will join a growing team at the epicentre of product development, where you will collaborate with a wide range of intelligent, dynamic colleagues throughout hybris and beyond. Teams and individuals will look to you for guidance, requiring you to communicate confidently on a range of different technical and business levels. You will need to expertly shape the detail of an individual requirement whilst also understanding its importance in the wider context, allowing you to maintain the clear balance and direction of your product. You will be responsible for generation ideas for your product and drawing ideas out of others. You will gather feedback, own the roadmap, define the requirements and ensure that everything necessary for the release of your product is delivered on time. Here your constant collaboration ensures alignment between products. You will need to manage change when it occurs and remain flexible throughout to ensure that you and your team meet your key objectives. It is a challenging role where you will constantly find yourself stretched in opposing directions by the requests and needs of hybris departments. You will really get to test your creative and innovative faculties within our results-driven, agile company in order to get the job done.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

- Own, plan, design and build innovative, profitable software for the cloud. - Understand both, the cloud and eCommerce markets and competitors; identify and prioritize opportunities for existing products, new products and third party integrations. - Work closely with Stakeholders and Software Architects to define the Product Vision, Roadmap and Release Plan. - Work closely with Software Architects, Developers, Devops Engineers, User Interface Designers and Quality Assurance to translate high-level requirements into User Stories and review their implementation. - Be the subject matter expert for your product's capabilities and future plans; inform internal and external teams through email, meetings, conference calls and presentations at technology events. - Be passionate about your work and and about owning your product and enjoy collaborating with team members in different locations in a diverse environments.

WORK EXPERIENCE

- Strong professional experience as Product Owner and/or Product Management in the cloud industry and/or in an enterprise eCommerce software environment. - Prior successful collaboration and/or leadership within cross-functional engineering teams. - Experience with Scrum and Jira or similar tool. - Experience in Software Architecture. - Experience with Cloud Technologies. - Expertise in delivery and management of Java-based enterprise web applications. - Experience working with managed services or a cloud-based service provider. - Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef would be an asset.

Desired profile

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

- Technical university degree, e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics or similar. - A keen interest in technology and new technology trends. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - A self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to bring out this quality in others. - Available to travel to hybris offices abroad (up to 15 % of the time). - Solid understanding of eCommerce solutions based on Java and web Technologies. - Solid understanding of Cloud Technologies. - Understanding of application security. - Ability to effectively communicate designs and decisions to peers, customers and management. - Fluent in English.
