PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) unit is responsible for running SAP’s backend technology including operations of state-of-the-art data centers around the globe. Cloud Infrastructure Services provides shared services for SAP’s external Cloud Business and for SAP’s internal infrastructure such as development, training, or demo.
Its success mainly relies on close collaboration with its internal customers, the best in class technologies and an innovative thinking that ensure ongoing improvements of service delivery with regard to quality, cost, speed and efficiency.
The Strategy, Governance & Support (SG&S) unit within CIS is a cross-functional business operations unit consisting of several teams which support the CIS Delivery units as well as the CIS Head.
The CIS Tools department is a shared service provider within SG&S. The department is responsible for a set of business critical, self-developed tools and commercial applications supporting the implementation and operations of IT infrastructure. The CIS Tools team is focusing on the following:
· Tools Strategy & Roadmap Planning and Execution
· Tools Automation, Development, Maintenance and Support
· Tools & Application Implementation, Global Rollout & Operations
· Tools related Demand and Service Management
· Tools & Applications required for:
· IT Cost Cross Charging & Billing
· IT Asset Management and IT Configuration Management
· IT Event Management - including Monitoring and Alerting
· IT Reporting
· IT Security
The main locations of the CIS Tools Team are Germany (St. Leon-Rot) and India (Bangalore).
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
· Technical implementation, configuration and operation of current and future tools and applications
· Drive innovation to optimize, automate and standardize the operational delivery processes
· Alignment and close collaboration with CIS Tools architects & developers
· Continuous improvement of the existing cost charging/ billing model
· Support future concept development and feasibility studies

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
· Bachelor or Master’s degree, preferably in computer science, business information systems or mathematical, technical or science field of study
· Excellent English and German language skills (both languages required)
· High motivation to work with the latest technologies and to learn new skills
· Analytical, problem solving skills and ability to work customer orientated
· Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
· Knowledge in business relevant reporting using SAP standard solutions (SAP Business Information Warehouse - BW)
· Understanding of controlling and financial accounting principles with a focus on internal cost allocation
· Good communication skills being a very good team-player
Preferred skills
· Basic understanding of OLAP optimized modelling (star, centipede, snowflake, etc.)
· Basic understanding of SAP HANA, SAP BOPF and SAP UI5
· Basic understanding of SAP transport management
· Basic understanding of SAP CO
· Basic knowledge of system communication protocols (e.g. JSON, XML, RFC, SOAP WEB service, OData)
· Experience in data modelling (ERM or optional SERM)
WORK EXPERIENCE
This is an entry-level position for upcoming or recent graduates with 0-2 years work experience, ideally within agile software development.
0-1 year of technical and practical experience in the area of ABAP OO software development and methodology (Design Pattern) would be highly beneficial.
