PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
We are looking for a highly motivated (Junior) Developer with strong UI as well as customer focus in order to strengthen our Consumption Team in the User Interface Core Service (UICS) product unit. The UICS product unit is responsible for the development of the strategic UI technologies used by SAP’s application development, partners and customers to create state of the art user interfaces for large scale business applications. This includes the “UI Development Toolkit for HTML5” (SAPUI5 or short UI5- a highly scalable, cross-browser JavaScript Framework), SAP Fiori Launchpad and the open source contribution OpenUI5.
In the UICS Consumption Team, we ensure that our deliveries are easy and fast to adopt for our internal and external stakeholders. We create prototypes, code contributions, demo applications, and learning material to let the deliverables and new features of our organization shine as they deserve. We interact with our internal and external communities to identify gaps in our programming model and roll out new features to our stakeholders. We also represent our organization at conferences and prepare material for events. As first consumers of our state of the art UI technologies, we maintain a very close relationship to our development teams and give early feedback on new deliverables to ensure that they are shipped at high quality.

Are you an enthusiastic JavaScript developer with strong customer focus? Can you put yourself into an application developer or framework developer perspective to identify their needs and improve their productivity?
As a developer in our team you will

·  Work in Scrum using agile software development methodologies
·  Get to know the latest concepts and trends in SAP’s UI technologies
·  Be the first consumer of our deliverables to ensure high quality software
·  Contribute to SAPUI5, the SAP Fiori Launchpad and other tools created in our organization to make them easy and fast to adopt
·  Create new learning material, code examples, and demo applications for our stakeholders
·  Engage with our communities and represent our organization at conferences and events

Desired profile

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

·  Good IT Specialist for Software Development, Bachelor, Master or Diploma degree of Computer Science or a related discipline
·  Knowledge in JavaScript development, HTML and CSS
·  Flexibility and willing to learn new subject matters quickly
·  Fluent written and spoken English and German
·  Strong team player with good communication skills

Preferred skills

·  SAPUI5 or other JavaScript-based UI framework development skills
·  Knowledge in object oriented programming languages
·  Experience with OData protocol
