PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The “Installed Base Maintenance and Support” (IMS Application) is a global organization maintaining SAP’s business software products like SAP ERP, SAP SRM, SAP CRM …
Doing that, we support our large ‘installed customer base’ on a daily basis. In addition, we run development activities for new product features.
Our organization includes more than 1300 highly motivated developers worldwide. We are the experts who analyze and correct issues within our software reported by our customers. We also take care of adapting SAP solutions to new legal requirements and industry standards.
Within the department IMS Applications the “Logistics” subdivision focuses amongst others on Purchasing solutions in SRM. The respective teams are responsible for maintenance and support of as well as further developments within the SRM product in close collaboration with our co-locations in Montreal and Bangalore. In the future we will be also responsible for S/4HANA product maintenance in the same space.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
You will be responsible for development, maintenance and support in the above mentioned area. This covers:
· Analysis of problems in complex customer scenarios at Development Support level
· Provide corrections and developments in ABAP, HTML5, and Fiori; take ownership of code
· Development and delivery of solutions in form of how-to consulting, customer-specific coding changes or standard corrections
· Development of new product features as part of IMS+ product ownership
· Development of redesigns improving quality and/or performance
· Continuous learning and handover of new functionalities from product development
· Organization and execution of knowledge transfer within the team and to other support levels
Desired profile
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
· University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Physics / Mathematics or comparable education paths.
· Fluent in both German and English language - verbal and written
· Programming and debugging experience
· Pronounced analytical skills
· Strong customer orientation and communicative skills
· Good team player with a readiness to respond flexibly to new challenges within the team or product area
· Ability to work in an international team
Preferred skills
· Business & technical knowledge in SAP SRM
· Domain knowledge in purchasing processes
· Knowledge in HTML5/JavaScript, SQL
· Knowlege of ABAP
WORK EXPERIENCE
This is an entry-level position for candidates with experience 0-2 years experience in software development. Based on the professional background colleagues newly joining our team will be trained based on an individual plan. Such a training plan can consist of class room trainings and on-the-job activities to build up the needed technical and product expertise quickly. An experienced colleague will also act as your personal mentor.
