Job description

Program SaVIE (VIE of Sanofi) is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.
PLEASE NOTE that since the VIE Program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.
PLEASE NOTE that applications that are only submitted in French cannot be considered by our non-French speaking partners at Sanofi worldwide. Therefore, only applications that are submitted in English will be considered.
We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission of:
Global Clinical Buyer

Job Details:
This position supports the Global Clinical Procurement function by analysing, developing and challenging all aspects of new and ongoing clinical trials. The position works closely with the Clinical business partners to assess and manage all outsourcing needs.
- Apply the best strategies for specific project(s) and/or critical purchasing activities
- Lead and conduct RFP process with ad-hoc procurement and business partner support
- Administers all procurement activities, including selecting sources of supply, approving purchase orders, managing relationships with suppliers and negotiating terms of contracts while ensuring compliance standards
- Negotiates and challenges suppliers to be as cost effective as possible, ensure minimal risk to the company while reducing overall cost to the company and alleviating business risk
- Ensures the procurement of company materials and supplies, services and investments at the best market conditions for his/her perimeter
Responsible for evaluating alternative solutions suggested by new suppliers aimed at the improvement of procurement
- Manage, ad hoc, specific project(s) and/or critical activities related to the procurement function
- Ensure appropriate reporting and documentation to support inspection readiness, compliance and procurement performance
Candidate:
Education, skills and experience:
- Master’s degree
- 1-3 years of professional experience in a relevant field
- Clinical Development and/or Procurement experience preferred.
- Strong Clinical and/or pharmaceutical Research & Development understanding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence, drive change, and be extremely diplomatic, demonstrated competencies in problem solving.
- Proven ability to deliver results with cross-functional teams

Successfull candidate will have ability to:
- Support requestors to format their requirements
- Forecast the cost to properly establish the AED and/or PR
- Provide suppliers market analysis
- Assess the market in order to identify other potential suppliers, if needed
- Comprehend and utilize purchasing principles including finance and legal terms.
- Select and recommend a subset of potential suppliers to satisfy the requirements
- Define and manage a negotiation plan
