We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission of:
Communications Associate
- VIE Contract (W/M)
Purpose of Role
As a member of Sanofi’s dedicated Australia and New Zealand Communications Team, the Communications Associate will provide support to the Channel and Content Manager to deliver a number of key internal and external channels. Day to day activities will include assisting the business deliver its strategic objectives by identifying, developing and delivering editorial content, calendar planning and supporting new and existing channel management.
Priorities:
Working closely with the Channel and Content Manager the Communications Associate will help bring to life Sanofi’s internal and external voice. With a keen eye for current editorial trends and tools they will be equipped with the creative and professional skills required to create content that start conversations.
The Communications Associate will support the team as directed by the Channel and Content Manager including but not limited to:
Content
- Taking a thoughtful, strategic and creative approach to all our communication that always addresses the ‘Why’
- Identifying potential stories, crafting and publishing engaging content
- Editing, proofreading and improving written content developed by other contributors
- Building relationships with potential contributors to ensure an ongoing flow of high quality potential stories
- Assisting and upskilling contributors’ confidence with generating photos and videos of a high standard
- Collaborating with fellow members of Sanofi’s communications team to plan and develop content calendars
Channels
- Having a mindset for measurement. Generating analytical reports that help the team to improve our content
- Being an advocate for helping the business to adhere to channel governance – right message, right channel, and right time
- Assisting the Channel and Content Manager in launching new fit-for-purpose channels like. enterprise social media, podcasts, face-to-face networking
- Assisting publishing on Sanofi owned channels www.sanofi.com.au and LinkedIn
Tools
- Using available tools for graphic design and video to develop high quality, visually engaging content
- Liaising with creative suppliers sourcing quotes and, with assistance, project manage assignments
- Further developing and embedding existing style and design guides
- Ensuring all content is compliant with relevant internal policies and the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct

Person Profile:
Essential Skills and Experience
- Master degree in Journalism, Communications or Graphic Design
- 1-3+ years’ experience as a journalist, content creator or member of a communications team (in-house or agency)
- Advanced written and verbal communication with demonstrable experience in taking on a range of different writing styles; from corporate to more storytelling
- Experience developing video, taking photos and using online graphic design tools
- Fluent English is a must (both spoken and written)
