Alcon is currently seeking a Technical Services Engineer II in the Global Technical Services division located in Lake Forest, CA. The primary scope of this role is to assist in supporting Alcon’s networked (e.g. Cloud connected) medical devices.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
• Provides training to Alcon’s Field Engineers and Technical Support Specialists on connecting Alcon’s Medical Devices to customer wired and wireless networks.
• Provides remote technical support to field service engineers and customers when in need of additional assistance in network setup.
• Works with various teams at Alcon to coordinate market launches of new Technology.
• Provides timely answers to customer questions including completion of Network Security Surveys.
• Plans and organizes department projects to ensure goals and objectives are achieved

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the Engineering Sciences or equivalent years in directly related industry experience
• Minimum of 3 years of directly related experience designing, installing, and supporting complex Wireless networks
• Preferred expertise with Cisco Networking, including LAN deployments, routing, routing protocols, TCP/IP and the ability to troubleshoot complex networks
Background in healthcare industry preferred
