Job Purpose:
The position is part of the IRIS EMEA Business Service Center in Prague that supports the 24 EMEA countries with the IRIS SAP system processes.
The role manages the OTI (Order to Invoice) systems functionalities across the 24 countries and affiliates of EMEA region with a 1.6 billion sales coverage.
The purpose of the role is to provide 2nd level technical and process expertise to the Alcon EMEA affiliates in establishing a solid and reliable EDI foundation; facilitate smooth data interchange between the systems, monitor the interchange of data enabling the detection and correction of system errors and provide resolution of data and systems interface issues. The position as well supporting the Alcon affiliates with expert knowledge of given functional area and in direct relation to Divisional Business Process Owners. Outcome of successful functionality is proper data quality and accuracy as well as business process flow on the country level that results with business excellence for the essential day to day running of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 2nd level technical expertise and support to the Alcon EMEA affiliates in their OTI processes.
- Provide advanced support to the countries in the resolution of processes and technical issues related to the coordination of IDoc’s in Alcon's global systems and external systems. Root cause analysis, risk assessment and application of corrective actions that maximize integrity of business data. Escalation of errors or issues that cannot be corrected at 2nd level for resolution (ticketing).
- Periodical reconciliation of transactional data to confirm completeness of system interface operations. Ensure all orders processed without error in line with periodic closing activities.
- Define business processes for managing and resolving IDoc errors across multiple entities providing timely resolutions and minimizing impact on productivity focusing on OTI business processes.
- Implement effective problem management process within OTI to reduce and prevent recurring errors and issues.
- Act as single point of contact for EMEA affiliates, support the business in execution of corrective actions. Ensure OTI IDoc’s are processed liaising with local affiliates to ensure Customer Orders are processed timely.
- Work closely with cross-functional groups in order to identify, develop and test system enhancements.
- Contribute to program development, streamline of processes, system evaluation and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with representatives and participate in projects from cross-functional groups to provide system, operational and order management support.
• Ensures adherence to Financial Control requirements, manages escalations to ERP or Business Function Leads
- Develop reporting to support business analysis, performance review and financial controls such as Novartis Financial Controls.
- Run and spread of recurring reports, support countries in their corrective actions
- Manage cleansing activities
• Keep contact with Global & Regional IRIS team and provide update to the countries on any system functionality adjustments or changes, ensures and supports country implementation
- Ensure Alcon affiliates do maintain all functional capabilities to meet demands of an ever-changing marketplace.
- Drive the implementation of changes through coordination of activities with and within the Business Center.

Desired profile
Minimum requirements
Experience and Specific Professional competencies :
• Strong IT skills – Strong knowledge of Microsoft package including Excel , Word and Power Point
• Knowledge and Practical understanding of SAP interfaces and middleware systems, PI (Process Integrator) & SI (Sterling Integrator)
• Working experience or an internship in a multicultural company environment and / or preferably experience working within matrix structure
• 2 - 3 years of work experience at similar position (in OTI/Customer Service area, strong customer focus)
• Experience in managing multiple countries, and cultural background
• Proven experience managing deadlines/prioritizing workload with key stakeholders
Education:
• Minimum Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Technical (system/computer) degree
Languages:
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Any other European language would be an asset
