As part of the global executive talent scouting expansion you will play a pivotal role building the framework of proactive external talent pipelining and relationship management processes while supporting our Global Pharma Commercial Business Unit.
As a member of the Global Pharma Executive Talent Scouting team this role reports to the Global Head of Pharma Executive Talent Scouting and will execute tactical and strategic development of strong external talent benches and pipelines for succession plans to support top level leaders and their leadership teams via these core activities:
• Execute effective talent scouting processes from initiation to completion.
• Identify high potential candidates, by utilizing all available candidate sources (LinkedIn, professional associations, conference programs, attendee lists and social media).
• Develop external talent mappings (long lists) for internal business benchmarking and to be utilized as a starting point for Talent Pipeline Relationship Management activities. (>50% of the time in the first 6 to 12 months).
• Drive the Talent Pipeline Relationship Management activities by engaging high-quality passive talents (typically via email, social media, teleconference, and in-person interactions at conferences or meetings) assessing their availability, credibility and suitability for current or future positions with Novartis.
• Refine talent pools and leverage continuous candidate engagement opportunities. Establish strong candidate relationships to focus on candidate long-term career objectives in addition to short term job opportunities.
• Leverage opportunities with candidates to prompt career conversations, facilitate information exchange to address and identify candidate career aspirations.
• Proactive creation and implementation of innovative methods to source and attract talents.
• Be an active part of the global Pharma team of Novartis Executive Talent Scouts, which will include working to support each other on various initiatives and campaigns across the globe.
• Work in tight alignment with various colleagues across the function: Business Leaders, Talent Management, Staffing Managers; and HR Business Partners.
Desired profile
Minimum requirements
• University degree: BS, MS or a PhD English
• Must have commercial scouting experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Must have at least 2-5 years of experience as an external head hunter or internal talent acquisition professional.
• Experience working within matrix global teams across different time zones and geographies.
