The Order 2 Pay Team Lead is mainly accountable for three areas of deliverables: team management, AP KPI delivery and Continuous Improvement/standardization. The team lead manages the processes of the Novartis Group entities, ensuring quality and effectiveness of the processes, securing company assets by applying tight controls in the financial transactions, while providing accurate financial information and timely reporting of balances. This role supports having documentation, compliance and reporting in place and supports continuous improvement/standardization projects to provide highly effective and efficient end-to-end processes to the Novartis entities. The role is a people management role and entails participation in transition of activities from other European countries to the NGSC, planning of resources, recruitment, team performance management and development.

Your Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provides services at expected levels with a clear customer service and escalates exceptions
• Interacts proactively with all functional areas of the FSCs and NGSC to ensure appropriate accounting, financial reporting and provide seamless service
• Acts as a back-up for the other O2P team leads
• Ensures the measurement and delivery of service levels and KPI targets • Interacts with the O2P functional stakeholders such as O2P country CRM, BPAs, CFOs, Account SPOCs and other Key internal/external stakeholders for entities under responsibility
• Leads continuous improvement changes to have an efficient and effective process
• Actively supports FSCs/NGSC working style being inclusive, proactive, respectful, and results driven in alignment with Novartis V&B Participates and assists in driving the knowledge management process including the development of user manuals, knowledge bases, FAQs, etc.
• Drives alignment and buy-in of O2P strategy cross-divisionally
• Strengthens the relationship and leverage on Cross divisional standardization opportunities
• Translates the O2P strategic vision into a team strategy and operational goals for the IP and AP resolution sub-streams leveraging resources to ensure backup plans, workload distribution and productivity levels
• Coordinates team operations, ensuring distribution of workload and prioritization scheme.
• Coordinates the optimization of Sub-process oriented model
• Manages status reports, productivity reports, and other source documents to ensure optimal performance is achieved

What you’ll bring to the role:

• High School /Bachelor degree (college courses in accounting preferred) • Proven previous experience in any field of accounting
• English /Other EU language (written/spoken)
• +3 years’ experience in P2P
• At least 2 years in similar position
