Recently established in Mexico, the Novartis Global Service Centre delivers a broad variety of services including scientific and commercial services (known as Product Lifecycle Services), Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations, IT, HR Operations and Procurement to the Novartis divisions and organizations worldwide. The NGSC Mexico is located in the biggest city in the country. The site is located 15 minutes away from Coyoacan, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Mexico, dating back to the XVI century, which has evolved into a cultural spot that gathers Mexican traditional and gourmet cuisine, arts and crafts, and history.
You will experience a mix of diverse people who have different interests and backgrounds. We are searching a JUNIOR LEGAL COUNSEL for INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY for CDMX; the purpose of this position is to provide legal support and collaborate with the Legal Head and Legal Managers, supporting the Pharma business goals in general, ensuring the provision of legal insight and documentation relevant to business development of innovative products, market access, intellectual property, litigation, and the strategic agenda and projects of the Legal Function for the Pharma Division.
In this position your main activities will be:
• To provide legal support to the Pharma Legal Team (Head & Managers);
• Ensure a proactive participation as Business Partner and Business Acumen;
• Collaborate into the litigation strategies to ensure brand maximization and Novartis assets protection taking care of risk management and effective costs;
• Act as a Business Partner in all actions relating to the Company’s contractual negotiations and statutory obligations drive contract preparation, negotiation, and defense;
• Maintain the 90% of the SLAs with a satisfaction rate.
Desired profile
Minimum requirements
The ideal candidate:
• Must have a Law or similar Bachelor Degree;
• Must be a qualified attorney at law;
• Must have 2 to 3 years of experience in law practice;
• Must have experience in Intellectual Property & Trademarks;
• Preferably experience in Pharma litigation;
• Preferably working before in Pharma companies;
• Has excellent abilities to communicate, influence, persuade and negotiate with different teams and stakeholders;
• Has high ethic and integrity skills;
• Looks always for Operational Excellence;
• Has the ability to manage changes and looks for Continuous Improvement;
• Advanced English skills (written, reading and speaking).
