Job Summary:
Novartis is currently searching for a Global HR Core Lead to join our Global HR team.
Job Purpose:
This role is a member of our Global HR team and will lead, manage and govern the Novartis HR Core (SAP HR) platform. The role is responsible for ensuring business requirements are successfully translated into solution design and configuration, complies with our needs, user acceptance testing occurs and ensures the platform adheres to both company specific and industry compliance requirements enabling smooth and effective service delivery and high customer satisfaction. Works in close collaboration with IT and the Process & Governance teams. Drives continuous improvement initiatives. Provides high level expert support on HR Core and HR data flows and coordinates the system related HR Core activities. Contributes to the 3-5 Year strategy of system developments. Ensures adherence of system to both industry and company specific compliance requirements. The role holder will assist in solving point-in-time challenges in case of major impact and partner with internal stakeholders to increase the effective use and adoption of the HR Core platform. This will involve partnering closely with HR stakeholders, Business Process Owners, IT Business Partners, including the Solution & Service Delivery & HR Design teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong business skills of the SAP HR platform with an appreciation of the technical aspects of the system, project management skills, excellent inter-personal and multitasking abilities and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the HR Functional Lead for the SAP HR system governance (HR Core) together with Process & Governance and IT teams
• Ensure HR Core and its supporting technology operates effectively and efficiently in close collaboration with IT
• Coordinate the teams efforts on the platform HR Core
• Ensure compliance with legal framework, SOX requirements, and Novartis specific policies & guidelines
• Drive the SAP HR platform roadmap working with stakeholders and internal and external User Groups to understand business strategy and priorities for the platform
• Facilitate the transition from implementation project to operations and supports the drive towards a stable operating model
• Review, approve and sign-off business processes, user requirements, design and structure/ data definitions (approval by the System Owner means that this plan de-scribes the appropriate validation activities to be performed and that the appropriate business and technical review has been conducted)
• Ensure that learnings from previous implementations are incorporated into global processes and system design – facilitating global scalability and meets the concept of “One HR”
• Ensure together with IT that the system operates in compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines, with the objective of maintaining the accuracy and security of all data residing in the HR Core system
• Maintain expert knowledge of the HR Core platform to ensure maximization of an automated approach to answering routine employee inquiries and fulfilling service re-quests
• Work closely with stakeholders at global, regional and country levels as required; these are usually, HRBPs, ITBPs, HR Boards, Steering Committees, CoEs / NBS HR Leadership, IT, Finance, Procurement, and others using the HR Core platform
• Ensure effective internal communication, and alignment with NBS HR, CoEs, global, regional and country communication strategies and plans
• Build measures of success for HR Core and ensure this includes operational reviews with the Service Review Board, as may be applicable
• Support development and management of the HR Core Release & Change Management plan
• Ensure documentation, processes and standards are maintained or created for the platform
• Act as an advocate for the HR Core platform providing counsel and recommendations to HR Leadership

Desired profile
Minimum requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor/s degree in HR/other related field or equivalent experience
• Fluent English, other languages are a plus
• Experience with HR on-premise and/or cloud-based solutions, preferably SAP HR (other HR ERP systems knowledge and experience is an advantage)
• Ideally 3-5 years experience of managing HR Information Systems in a Global environment
• Systems, data & knowledge management experience working in a lead role within a HR Shared Services / Customer Service Delivery environment within an international environment
• 3–5 years of Project Management experience, preferably in a HR context
• Six Sigma/Quality Management certification preferred
• Broad experience in HR Processes
• Experience with GxP, Computer System Validation, Data Privacy and Compliance requirements
• Knowledge and experience of service management / delivery technology/ tools (i.e. ServiceNow, Ticketing, Telephony, Chat platforms)
