The preferred candidate will work on three critical areas of the business supporting the oncology breast cancer franchise. Contingent upon experience and interest the candidate will build and support projects related to:
Sales Training:
Develop tools and resources to enhance Novartis breast cancer sales force product knowledge and delivery of impactful calls for Afinitor. The preferred candidate will gain understanding of the breast cancer market, engage in cross functional team work with marketing, sales training, and medical, and implement sales training principles and materials to the field organization.
Description of responsibilities:
Assist in the development of programs and materials that increase clinical competency and selling skills within the sales force. Work in coordination with sales training, marketing, and cross functional stakeholders to execute materials through Novartis OMAP process. Participate in development of workshops and execute materials in preparation for September regional meeting.
Medical Marketing:
Objective: Enable robust medical engagement with physician community through development of educational speaker programs in variety of formats designed for the specific needs of the audience.
The preferred candidate will work hand in hand with brand, medical, and sales teams to develop and refine educational content for the Afinitor speakers bureau.
Candidate will gain internal cross functional matrix work experience as well as external customer engagement experience through the development of case based programs.
Description of responsibilities:
Assist and develop case study material, speaker training, and execution of promotional speaker programs.
Participate in external discussions with key oncologists for preparation of case based content. Work with Afinitor and Kisqali teams to ensure compliant speaker training and program delivery.
Market Planning:
Objective: Support 2019 planning activities for existing and emerging compounds, such as product forecasting, disease area training, and competitive landscape analysis.
Candidate will gain exposure to the strategic planning process, as well as resource allocation and tradeoff decisions within the advanced breast cancer market.
Description of Responsibilities:
Candidate will participate in development of brand strategy decks for Afinitor and potential emerging compounds.
Leveraging the organizational experience in the disease state and market, candidate will work with competitive intelligence, medical, and other cross functional stakeholders to assess market risks and opportunities.

Desired profile
Minimum requirements
Required:
-Candidate pursuing graduate level education (e.g. Masters/MBA/PhD/MD).
-Experience working in an office environment, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-Candidate will have experience through work or education in the life-sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
-Ability to work in a dynamic environment within a matrix organization.
