General Description
Position Summary: This Software Test Engineer position will perform an automation development role with the MQL TX GATE automation development group. Common Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 1. This person will design, debug and develop applications in C/C#/C++ in the Visual Studio environment based on the MS .NET Framework. 2. This person will be required to develop automation test scripts based on the carrier requirements. 3. This person will be required to analyze carrier requirements and develop test scripts based on these carrier requirements. 4. This person will be required to analyze the test logs, identify issues and present all required information to external teams for issue resolution. 5. This person will be required to manage the issues identified to closure by working with other teams within Samsung in multiple locations. 6. This person will be required to generate test reports, from the executed test cases based on the carrier requirements. 7. This person may be required to develop applications on the Android and other mobile platforms based on carrier requirements. 8. This person will need to work well with multiple teams in multiple locations and multiple time zones to drive any and all issues to closure for their projects.

Necessary Skills / Attributes
Background/Experience Required: 1. Minimum 2 years software development experience, preferably C#. 2. BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field. 3. MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is preferred. 4. Project Management experience is a big plus. 5. Experience in the Mobile/Telecom industry is desirable. Necessary skills/Attributes: 1. Previous experience in Visual Studio and MS .NET Framework required. 2. Sound Software Development practices required. 3. C/C++ Knowledge is desirable. 4. Java and Android development experience is desirable. 5. Basic knowledge of an RDBMS is desirable. 6. Excellent communication skills required. 7. Ideal candidate would be the self-starting motivated type. 8. Ideal candidate should be pro-active and be able to engage with multiple teams in multiple locations. 9. Ideal candidate should have a can do attitude and will need to do whatever it takes to complete the job. 10. Ideal candidate will require excellent multi-tasking skills. 11. Ideal candidate is one who likes to take responsibility for their tasks and complete and drive their projects to completion.
