General Description
o Responsible for quality assurance and quality improvement testing of the key performance attributes for CE products such as TVs, Blu-ray players, sound bars and other Samsung (and competitor) products. Testing is conducted as per the QA lab test protocols which are based on performance measurements and QA testing methodologies o Assessing picture quality, sound quality, usability and design elements o Provide testing reports including suggestions for improvement to QA lab management and to HQ R&D o Calibration and preparation of S&A class televisions for media review o Responsible for acoustical measurements and testing. o Communication with media explaining technical aspects of products o Attend trade shows and media events representing Samsung o Responsible for QA lab sample tracking (incoming and disposal) o Responsible for maintaining and building lab infrastructure including problem solving and developing strategies for improvement o Seeking solutions and implementation of strategies to improve QA testing workflow o Develop and maintain test protocols o Travel to SEC HQ and SAMEX in support PV, PR and MP product testing Duties & Responsibilities 1) Performance and quality assurance testing 2) Recommend improvements in product quality and performance through testing, comparison and research 3) Calibration and preparation of S&A class products prior to shipment to tech media 4) Actively maintain and update technical expertise on new products and technology by attending product related media events, technical seminars or external training 5) Maintain clean safe test environment; maintain and purchase test equipment and manage test sample intake and disposal w will duties be measured) 1) Delivering completed work accurately and on-time as agreed between employee and manager 2) Demonstrating effective reporting, verbally and written with QA lab management, CS Center and GBMs providing useful feedback for product quality improvements 3) Research, create and maintain internal test protocols related to product testing. Assessment of target goal determined by manager 4) Demonstrate knowledge “product test expert” in assigned test category. Assessment to be made by manager. 5) Adhering to schedules and deadlines for assignments as agreed between employee and manager 6) Demonstrating a professional proactive attitude 7) Proficiency with Samsung PUMI guidelines for test equipment and sample purchase; ENPASS procedures for sample disposition

Desired profile

Necessary Skills / Attributes
• Technical Certificate, AAS Degree, or Bachelor Degree in Engineering; with 3 to 5 years of related experience • Hands-on technical experience with CE (Consumer electronics) products • ISF calibration, video and television technology • Product testing - familiar with basic, industry measurement devices and systems used in product testing • Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Proven ability to analyze information and data; perform detailed “root cause” analysis to discover new and innovative ways to improve product performance. • Ability to write clear and concise reports, often for non-English speaking or ESL customers or counterparts. • Ability to operate with a “customer service” mentality with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment. • “Hobby level” Consumer Electronics interest and/or experience a plus • Fluency in Korean a plus
