General Description
This position will use marketing and accounting knowledge, along with systems skills, to support the Marketing department's objectives. Proactively oversees financial aspects of a portfolio of marketing programs from initial evaluation and approval, through program completion and post program analysis. The main purpose of the Marketing Analyst is to work in a collaborative manner with the channel Marketing and Insights leads to aggregate data, analyze potential impact on Samsung's business and provide recommended actions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage and track MDF budget to maintain alignment with annual and quarterly targets and report to the organization as needed • Manage day to day activities associated with general product, consumer, and market research and perform ad hoc research and data analysis/gathering as needed. • Retrieve, analyze and deliver marketing activity and metrics to provide ROI-based recommendations to marketing and business planning teams to optimize overall marketing performance • Create automated reports and dashboards leveraging several different digital data sets to communicate the performance and benchmarking of strategic initiatives • Serve as contact point with accounting department as needed to facilitate month-end processes Work Location will be Ridgefield Park, NJ.

Necessary Skills/Attributes: • Excellent report writing skills, with expert knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. • Understanding of statistical modeling • Ability to translate data into actionable stories • Expertise in linking data collected with an overall set of channel strategies and goals. • Very strong analytical, problem solving written and verbal skills. • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of internal and external customers. • Plan, organize and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Adapt willingly and quickly to changing priorities and responsibilities. • Understand how to use various types of sales and marketing information to coordinate and improve reporting on portfolio mix, effectiveness of promotions, and competitive activities • Very strong analytical, problem solving written and verbal skills. • Highly motivated, work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames • Organize, and prioritize multiple complex assignments and projects. Background and Experience required: • Must have 3+ years of experience in developing analytical reporting tools, ideally with experience supporting marketing and/or MDF budgeting and reconciliation process. • BS in Business, Finance or Economics • Skills/Experience Desired: • SAP experience • Microsoft Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word • Travel less than 10%
