General Description
Samsung Electronic America's Supply Chain Team is responsible for ensuring product availability to meet forecasted demand by the Sales Subsidiary. Forecasts are generated via consensus calls with Sales Teams, Marketing Teams, and with the Samsung Global Operations Center and tracked using spreadsheets, SAP, and Samsung Systems and Tools. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing a range of products and will supervise other Planners within the Department. The Manager will also define and take the lead on strategic projects on behalf of the entire Supply Chain Team, generate and present reports for Executive Management, recruit and supervise staff, and represent the SCM Team when the Department Head is out of office. The Supply Chain Manager will be the primary point of contact for all supply related issues related to their products at the Sales Subsidiary and will directly manage SCM staff within the product group. They will also interact closely with Customers and with internal teams including Senior Management. Occasional travel will be required, including overseas to the Samsung Electronics Corporation Office in Suwon, South Korea, and also Mobile office in Richardson, Texas. Duties & Responsibilities will include: -AP2 Forecasting by Product -Consensus Calls with Sales, Marketing, GOC -PSI Planning & Simulations -Product Allocation -Aging Inventory -Report Generation -Project Management -Manage Direct Reports The Supply Chain Coordinator will be working closely with Sales, Product Marketing, and HQ (GOC), and Logistics group on weekly basis, to provide Supply Chain Forecast and Actual based analysis & report/data, to help manage healthy WOS in channel and maximize the sales. Interaction with SEA executives, including SCM, Marketing and Finance (as needed).
