Position Summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS) is one of the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the United States. Owned by Samsung Electronics Corporation Ltd., SAS is the only semiconductor manufacturing plant located outside of Korea. SAS manufactures logic components for digital services, personal computers, mobile phones, workstations and servers. Since 1997, SAS has been at the forefront of manufacturing technology, enabling the world's digital devices to operate at the highest performance.
The Gas Chemical System team is focused on comprehensively owning, maintaining, supporting, and improving Hour Per Minute operations as SAS. As part of the Gas Chemical System team, you will provide support by interacting with on-site Versum operations team and support Hours Per Minute chemical, gas, and slurry activities as required.
SAS is focused on being the World’s Best Foundry product supplier.
Role and Responsibilities
· The GCS Slurry TR role is a leadership position responsible for all aspects of ownership, maintenance, and projects related (primarily) to slurry supply systems at SAS.
· Leadership of an engineering team responsible for the comprehensive ownership of Slurry supply systems and hardware, as well as capital project planning and execution.
· Effective coordination, communication, and direction with a large embedded contractor utilized for equipment maintenance.
· Effective communication and coordination with Fab Engineering (CMP) to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and overall collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability.
· Able to lead efforts for future scenario planning support including infrastructure budget and schedule forecasting, utilization and capacity data analysis, and reporting.
· Drive continuous improvement projects to improve quality, productivity, and safety, while also reducing cost.

The candidate will need to be able to work effectively with multiple teams – both internal and external – to meet the requirements of GCS and SAS: Safety 1st, and then constant, reliable, high quality supply to production tools from GCS systems.

Shift: 1st - Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.
Skills and Qualifications
· BS degree in electrical, computer, mechanical or chemical engineering, or related technical field.
· Minimum of 2 years of direct engineering leadership experience preferred.
· Experience leading engineering teams dedicated to management of facilities or semiconductor production hardware in a 24/7, large scale manufacturing environment.
· Strong technical background – with particular ability to understand, repair, and optimize chemical delivery hardware.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong data analysis skills.
· Ability to understand manufacturing/supply equipment and operations and directly relate and improve the corresponding systems related to them.
· Strong presentation skills – including all related Microsoft Office applications.
· Familiarity with slurry or CMP systems is a plus – but not required.
· Ability to work overtime / on non-scheduled days as required.
