Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS) is one of the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the United States. Owned by Samsung Electronics Corporation Ltd., SAS is the only semiconductor manufacturing plant located outside of Korea. SAS manufactures logic components for digital services, personal computers, mobile phones, workstations and servers. The Chemical Vapor Deposition team is focused on the maintenance and recovery of Chemical Vapor Deposition equipment. As part of the Chemical Vapor Deposition team, you will provide support in preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance.

Role and Responsibilities

·  This position is for an experienced process engineer within the SAS facilities in Austin, TX.
·  The individual selected for this position will participate in the development and implementation of advanced CVD equipment in a state of the art 300mm production facility.
·  Projects will primarily involve optimization of existing processes, with continuous improvement of uptime, reduction of equipment generated defects, and improvement of process control.
·  Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking experienced process engineer for CVD.
·  Challenges include defect reduction, process control and integration of CVD into leading edge devices.
·  The successful candidate will have a broad experience with CVD processes, hardware, and device integration.
·  Conduct defect, thickness and integration troubleshooting with CVD process and equipment engineers.
·  Conduct experiments and analyze data for process improvements.
·  Participating in fab to fab standardization activities, tool to tool matching, cost reduction, defect reduction, as well as manufacturing throughput improvement projects.
·  Strong skills in logical and objective data analysis with an ability to establish and track metrics to meet department goals.
·  Actively participate with other engineering, production and support organizations for high volume production of leading edge logic devices.
·  Providing innovative real time quick response and solutions to line issues to help maintain manufacturing requirements while maintaining the highest level of quality.
·  Work days and hours: 1st Shift.

Skills and Qualifications

·  BS Engineering -  Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or other science degree.
·  Min 3 - 5+ years of related experience.
·  Equipment knowledge and capability on one or more.
·   CVD AMAT Producer SE/GT, Wonik MAHA.
·  Experience in the following is desirable. SAS/JMP, Minitab, SPC, Tool Monitoring Software, Troubleshooting, MCC (machine cycle charting).
·  Knowledge of statistical process control methods (SPC).
·  Knowledge of advanced statistical methods.
·  Basic meeting management skills.
·  Project management skills.
