VP, Engineering - Community Cloud
Salesforce Community Cloud connects millions of employees, partners, and customers. Our team seeks an experienced, self-driven, and energetic individual to join our Ohana and help deliver world class products/features for the cloud out of our Hyderabad office. Our products are used by large and small customers worldwide, and big brands such as HP, Schneider, Coke, Adidas, Toyota to manage resellers, distributors, dealers, retailers, etc.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement best engineering management and organizational development practices as we continue to scale.
- Build a world class engineering team: Foster and facilitate the professional growth and development of our engineering staff as well as lead effective cross-functional collaboration across groups within the organization. Build organizational capability within these teams by recruiting and retaining outstanding talent and providing mentoring, training (internal and external), and other opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Drive continuous systems improvement for managing, documenting, staffing, and reviewing engineering projects and services.
- Enjoy guiding and mentoring team members to reach the pinnacles of success, but you are always ready to get hands-on, if the situation demands

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience as a hands-on software development manager.
- 6+ years engineering leadership of delivering world class software products/features
- 3+ years in cross-functional 2nd or 3rd level management roles.
- Experience in building strong, successful technical teams and coaching and mentoring individuals along their career paths.
- Ability to represent operational issues to senior leadership and dive deep into the technical details when required.
- Ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment; communicate clearly to steer the strongly talented team to deliver a high quality service.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

- Hands-on full-breadth (architecture, development, program management, QE, and operations) expertise.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated expertise at navigating complex organizational issues and driving consensus and results.
- Rainmaker recruiter – capable of building a world-class team of engineers.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills of teams across multiple geo-locations.
