Role Description:
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Storage team is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our storage infrastructure, along with the development of policies, procedures, standards and documentation.
A successful Storage Engineer at Salesforce works well under pressure, takes direction well, and relies on extensive experience and judgment to proactively monitor and support Salesforce Marketing Cloud's storage infrastructure.

Major Responsibilities:
Storage Engineers partner with Network Engineers, Database Administrators, Architects and Project Managers to plan and implement complex, technical solutions and architectures. The Storage Engineer will utilize best practices and provide recommendations to maximize uptime and SAN performance. Additionally, they oversee the day-to-day operations of the storage systems and work closely with the DBAs, and other teams to determine capacity requirements.
Storage Engineers define, track and maintain the standard baselines and configuration sets of all managed and/or monitored servers and implement industry best practices with regards to:
• Allocated Space
• Storage performance
• Bottlenecks, storage/fabric/server
• Fabric performance
• Supported configuration matrices
• System capacity planning
• Coordinating system upgrades
The Storage Engineer will be responsible for providing 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotating basis.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Computer/Engineering or relevant work experience
• Experience with 3PAR fiber channel storage arrays or equivalent
• Experience with Isilon network attached storage arrays or equivalent
• Experience with NetApp network attached storage arrays or equivalent
• Experience with Commvault enterprise backup software
• Experience with Brocade fiber channel switches (DCX, Brocade 48000)
