About the Position
A Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solution Architect (SA) is a strategic position to our customers and to the professional services organisation. Solution Architects are experienced technology consultants and are depended on by our customers for technical vision and proactive and strategic advice.
Responsibilities
Technical:
· Lead consultative engagements including workshops with clients on technical and business goals and challenges
· Use your business analyst skills to document comprehensive client user stories, requirements and technical overviews of solutions
· Define a detailed solution based on client's business needs and current environment including its limitations
· Simplify technical solutions that will enable the data to flow into Salesforce Marketing cloud and enable our customers to utilise the platform and ensure their speed to market goals.
· Great presentations skills to client stakeholders from both technical and business backgrounds
· Ability to keep a balance between scaled solutions without over engineering
· Ability to quickly learn the technical abilities and constraints of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform
· Develop proofs-of-concept to validate solution feasibility which would require some hands on activity.
· Manage solution related documentation (BRD/FSD) in conjunction with other delivery focused team members
· Understand enterprise database design and create ERD diagrams that complement the data schema's required by the proposed solution Non Technical
· Team player, collaborative, eager to learn and mentor
· Work effectively across multiple concurrent client engagements
· Identify project issues / risks and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve
· Support Sales and pre-sales teams in opportunities by validating solutions and estimates
· Estimate the effort required to implement the proposed solution
· Create detailed handover documents for the technology architects and specialists (both onshore and offshore) to complete the implementation of the solution
· Travel to client locations for onsite discovery and solutions presentations. Travel outside of the Sydney area is frequently required, but not expected to exceed 25% Business Requirements

· Expert in documenting complex concepts concisely and effectively Technology Requirements
· Understanding of Digital Marketing and its objectives. Experience working in a marketing organisation or interacting with marketing organisations as a supplier/vendor
· Create intuitive conceptual designs working with visualization software applications such as MS Visio or OmniGraffle
· Proficient in developing SQL and experience with a RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle or MS SQL Server
· Proficient in jSON, XML
· Experience of developing against SOAP and REST based APIs
· Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
· Familiarity with CRM, Content Management, POS/Commerce and Web Analytics platforms preferred Preferred skills
· Familiarity with email & sms international rules
· Familiarity with enterprise marketing tools such as Exact Target, Adobe Campaign etc
· Experience with one or more server side programming language such as .NET, JAVA, PHP, Ruby, C#, C++, Visual Basic, Python
· Familiarity with security standards such as TLS, SSL, data encryption preferred About Salesforce
